Had a go at screen printing last week...this is the result I got using two colours on this 'classic' toon. I think it looks rather nice - kind of like and old comic strip!

This is a piece of work that grew out of an assignment to illustrate words representing abstract concepts, one of which was 'imprisonment'. What form of imprisonment could be worse than that of an intellectual brain trapped in the head of a philistine? Eh? Eh? Exactly.

I posted an early B/W version of this in December. I got a bit sick of using photoshop and thought I'd have a crack at colouring this with watercolour paint. I'm fairly happy with the results, luddite that I am! Sharp-eyed viewers may also noticed I've changed the last panel a bit too...it was a bit too busy/messy.

A very silly comic strip I have been working on lately...kind of a work in progress, as I'm planning to colour this, but thought I'd slap it on here (it's good for morale).

I've practised a bit of hatching on this...I think it needs to be a bit more consistent though in terms of gaps, direction etc.

There's a bit of a continuity error too...hopefully not too obvious!

Another cartoon that emerged from a brainstorming session with my mysterious collaborator, the sinister bureaucrat Noor Salik.

This ended up having a bit of a retro feel, probably because the players (and ball) look a bit old fashioned...it seemed sensible to put in an industrial looking background.

A slight change of tack for the content of this site...The Guardian does a weekly satirical photoshop montage on the issues in football, and I have contributed two that were published on the site. The first was in response to the theme of Ryan Babel, the second re England's failed World Cup bid. It's probably obvious which one I did second, as it looks a hell of a lot better!

And now for something slightly different...this two page strip is the result of an exercise I did at a Cartoon Museum course...brief was to do a 2 page original strip based on the rather odd theme of 'mug of doom'. Completed in 2 weeks, so it's a bit rough and ready, but I'm pleased with the variation of shots and panels.

Hi all! This is to let you know that this rather splendiferous publication has just hit the shops!

Well, OK, there are currently 3 copies in Gosh! Comics, which is opposite the British Museum, plus I hope to have more in Orbital comics (Charing X Road) and the Cartoon Museum (Little Russell Street) by wednesday next week.

Hmm...that info may actually be fairly useless, as if you're on this site, it means you've prob already got it, so I'd better come up with a hilarious witticism or summat. Right, er...

Oh yeah, did you know that former Misteeq singer and current telly presenter Alesha Dixon has 90s pop combo Alesha's Attic imprisoned in a Dixon's box in her attic? You heard it here first...

...I'll get me coat. Anyways, if you have purchased the said publication, drop us a line and let me know what you think (be constructive). Oh, and may I here point out that Operation McTavish is based on the 60s film The Fantastic Voyage, not that episode of The Mighty Boosh (the strip was almost called The Fandabadozee Voyage, which is prob a better title.
